What the tool supports
- ABC/LMH: classify items by annual consumption value and inventory turnover in a nine-box matrix.
- Inventory parameters: review safety stock, reorder point and the modelled upper inventory boundary.
- Order quantities: compare EOQ, MOQ, order multiples and historical average order quantity.
- Replenishment: review five base strategies and ERP-specific implementation options.
- Working capital: distinguish modelled surplus inventory from a documented realisation scenario.
- Management control: review priorities, possible actions and risks.

From item data to management action
1. Enter – item data, stock levels, purchase prices, six months of consumption and purchasing parameters.
2. Analyse – value class, turnover, inventory policy and economic deviations.
3. Review strategy – validate replenishment approach against demand type, item criticality and supplier conditions.
4. Prioritise – examine risks and convert analytical findings into actionable work packages.
Replenishment and ERP
The nine-box segmentation is a screening framework, not a direct ERP configuration instruction. Five base strategies are used: consumption-based, requirements-based (MRP), periodic review, order-based/manual and Kanban. Demand dependency, criticality and supply characteristics may change the recommended approach.
Guidance covers SAP S/4HANA / ECC, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Dynamics 365 Business Central and Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM. The Excel workbook does not change any live ERP settings.
Inventory is not cash
Detailed analysis · Modelled surplus inventory is not realised liquidity. Inventory above a modelled threshold is a calculation. Working-capital scenarios require a justified realisation assumption. Actual cash effects must be verified separately.
Company-wide licence and client engagements
One-time purchase with an internal-use licence for any number of employees within the purchasing legal entity. The Toolbox may also be used in client work, consulting projects and interim-management assignments. Analysis outputs and reports may be shared with clients, but the original Excel Toolbox, functional copies and complete handbook must not be transferred or resold. The B2B sales and licence terms apply to purchases.
Included files and limitations
- Connected Excel workbook (.xlsx).
- User and methodology guide (.pdf), including formulas and a worked example.
- Synthetic sample items for demonstration – not verified customer results.
- A current version of Microsoft Excel supporting modern worksheet functions is recommended.
Limitations: No live ERP integration, no automated orders and no guaranteed cash release. Actual demand, open orders, lead-time variability and critical-item rules require validation before operational use.
Language: The Excel workbook and methodology handbook are currently available in German. Back to the Toolbox selection → · Produktinformationen auf Deutsch
